Exhibition ‘The Grand Home’

Happel Cornelisse Verhoeven is participating in the exhibition ‘The Grand Home’.

The exhibition proposes an exploration of the current notion of the ‘house’ in Europe by presenting a parallel between ‘town houses’ and ‘rural houses’. The question is contemplated through its types, its archetype even; and its varying interpretation through the 19th and 20th century, across the urban, suburban, and rural landscapes. Instead of taking a critical approach, this exhibition attempts to return to the original definition of the ‘house’, and presents contemporary versions of its programs and morphologies.

The exhibition an initiative by Édouard Ropars and Antoine Collet, architects and teachers at ENSA Paris-Malaquais and ENSA Paris-Est.
